Michele Gribbins, associate provost for institutional research and effectiveness, has been named the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Employee of the Month for October 2025. During her time at UIS, Gribbins has held numerous roles and has handled difficult and important tasks with ease. 鈥淪he is a wealth of information and institutional history,鈥 her nominator said. Gribbins鈥 nominator complimented her ability to work successfully across multiple divisions on campus. |

Peyton Woods Named GLVC Men鈥檚 Golf Player of the Week

Junior transfer聽Peyton Woods, a聽Springfield native, has been named聽GLVC Men's Golf Player of the Week聽following an outstanding performance at the Midwest Collegiate earlier this week.
Woods tied for聽second place overall聽in a 95-golfer field, carding rounds of聽68-76-67聽for a total score of聽211 (-5). He finished聽tied for third in par-4 scoring average (3.97)聽and聽fourth in total birdies (14), helping the Prairie Stars remain competitive at the tournament.

Prairie Stars Women鈥檚 Soccer Returns to Kiwanis Stadium for Matches Against Drury, Missouri S&T

The 缅北禁地 Springfield women's soccer team returns to Kiwanis Stadium this weekend for a pair of GLVC contests. The Prairie Stars will host Drury on Friday at 5:00 p.m. before taking on Missouri S&T on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
On聽Friday, UIS will celebrate聽Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night聽at soccer. All UIS faculty and staff members invited by student-athletes will be recognized before each game. This tradition gives student-athletes the chance to thank professors and campus staff who have made an impact on their lives.
