UIS Women’s Golf Heads to Owensboro for Bill Crabtree Invitational

The UIS women's golf team will travel to Owensboro, Ky., to compete in the Bill Crabtree Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 5, and Monday, Oct. 6. The two-round event will be played at The Pearl Club and is hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan College.
UIS will face a competitive field that includes Young Harris, Maryville (Mo.), McKendree, Kentucky Wesleyan, Thomas More, and John A. Logan.
The Prairie Stars' lineup features Fizreen Ahmadfadzir, Yi-Ting Hsieh, Valentina Torrealba, Lia Rody, and Elaine Grant.

UIS Women’s Tennis Heads to Michigan for ITA Regional Small College Championships

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's tennis team is set to compete this weekend at the ITA Midwest Small College Regional Championships, hosted by Davenport in Grand Rapids, Mich. This marks the second weekend of competition of the fall for the Prairie Stars and provides a strong opportunity to match up against both conference opponents and programs from across the region.

Prairie Stars Rally to Earn 2-2 Draw with Drury

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's soccer team showed grit and late-game fight on Friday night, earning a 2-2 draw with Drury in GLVC play. The result moves UIS to 2-5-2 overall and 1-4-1 in conference action.
Drury struck first less than five minutes into the match after a failed UIS clearance left the ball loose near the top of the box. The Panthers capitalized to take a quick 1-0 lead. Despite the early setback, UIS outshot Drury 5-3 before halftime, though the visitors maintained their advantage through the break.

Prairie Stars Fall in Three Sets at UMSL

The UIS volleyball team fell 3-0 to Missouri-St. Louis on Friday night on the road. The Prairie Stars move to 6-7 overall and 0-3 in GLVC play. UIS started strong in the opening set, taking a 5-2 lead before UMSL went on a decisive 12-2 run. The Tritons' defense limited UIS to a negative hitting percentage, and UMSL closed the frame 25-13. |

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Drury on Friday night at home. The Prairie Stars move to 1-5-3 overall and 0-4-2 in GLVC play.
After a slow start, UIS found some rhythm late in the first half, generating a few strong possessions as the game became stop-and-start heading into halftime. UIS led 2-1 in shots on goal at the half.Â
