Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield Picked 9th in GLVC Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll

The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's basketball team was picked ninth of 15 teams in the 2025-26 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) preseason coaches' poll, the league office announced Tuesday.
Missouri S&T was voted the preseason favorite to win the GLVC, receiving 14 first-place votes and 196 total points. Rounding out the top of the poll were Lincoln, Missouri-St. Louis, Rockhurst, and Drury.

Prairie Stars Men’s Golf Take Second at Bearcat Dual Gender

The llinois Springfield men's golf team finished second at the Bearcat Dual Gender, hosted by McKendree at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Ill. UIS posted rounds of 295, 302, and 296 for a 54-hole total of 893, finishing just several strokes behind champion Quincy (891) and ahead of Rockhurst (896).

UIS Women’s Golf Takes 2nd at Bearcat Dual Gender

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's golf team earned a runner-up finish at the Bearcat Dual Gender, hosted by McKendree at Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseyville, Ill. The Prairie Stars posted rounds of 307, 309, and 318 for a 54-hole total of 934, finishing just behind team champion Lewis (922) which closed with rounds of 301 and 303 on Tuesday.
UIS was in contention for the top spot entering the final round but slipped slightly down the stretch, unable to complete the comeback needed for a first-place finish.

These tests will primarily take place in the early mornings to minimize any disruption to your day.
