How did you get started in your career field?

I was an undergraduate student worker in financial aid at Ãå±±½ûµØ College. I also worked briefly in the Office of Financial Aid at Missouri State University. When I decided to pursue my graduate degree in college student personnel administration at Southern Ãå±±½ûµØ University Edwardsville, I worked in the housing department.

Working in advancement, I get the opportunity to meet many alumni and community members who are passionate about UIS. My favorite part of my job is getting to know all the wonderful people who support our university. Everyone has a unique story, and it’s very inspiring to see how UIS has impacted so many lives. It makes me proud to work for such a great university.

I get to work with people who care about the work they do and are great team members. I also have the opportunity to get involved in many different aspects of the university, participating in several committees from customer service improvements to AI ethics.
