UIS Softball is now 23-14 overall and 11-7 in the GLVC after splitting a doubleheader with Maryville on Sunday. The Prairie Stars won the first game 3-0 before falling 6-1 in the second.

UIS Completes Series Sweep with 13-2 Win at Upper Iowa

The UIS baseball team capped off a four-game sweep of Upper Iowa with a 13-2 victory on Sunday afternoon in Fayette, Iowa. The Prairie Stars have now won 12 straight games dating back to March 22 and improve to 21-10 overall and 14-5 in GLVC play. The Peacocks dropped to 14-18 overall and 10-10 in the conference.

UIS Baseball Takes Doubleheader at Upper Iowa

The UIS baseball team continued its series against Upper Iowa on Saturday in Fayette, Iowa, picking up a pair of wins in a doubleheader of seven-inning games. The Prairie Stars improved to 20-10 overall and 13-5 in GLVC play, solidifying their hold on second place in the conference standings. The series finale is scheduled for noon on Sunday.Â

Inniss Leads UIS Women’s Track at Jim Vargo Invitational

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's track and field team competed at the Jim Vargo Invitational on Friday evening, with three runners earning top-10 finishes in the 5,000 meters, including Kaleigh Inniss. The remainder of the meet, including additional heats of the 1,500 and 5,000 meters on Saturday, was canceled due to forecasted inclement weather.
