Multiple consultations were held regarding the Huron Consultants’ report and the Union’s recommendations on that report. The final recommendations from Academic Affairs have been made to the Chancellor, and she will announce the University’s approach to salary adjustments to faculty on Monday.

This afternoon, I will meet with members of the Union to discuss the University’s final decision.

The Chancellor’s Award Recognizing Excellence in Civil Service (CARE) and the Chancellor’s Academic Professional Excellence Award (CAPE) have been awarded annually at UIS for the past 16 and 20 years, respectively. Each year we receive nominations highlighting members of our campus community who consistently go above and beyond their duties and truly exemplify excellence

A group of seven University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield students and one adviser are spending their spring break helping to rebuild Florida following Hurricane Ian as part of an Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip.

The group left Springfield for Fort Myers, Florida, on Saturday, March 11, and will return on Saturday, March 18.

As you may recall, I have been working to establish a Chancellor’s Committee for Belonging, Dignity and Justice. This committee will work to examine existing approaches to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice across the institution, lead our DEIJ strategic planning efforts, and provide a centralized source for future discussions about how we carry out our institutional commitment to belonging, dignity and justice. I am happy to announce the membership of this committee and our next steps.

WHAT: The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield (UIS) and Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) are excited to announce the 2023 Career Connections Expo. Students and alumni from the hosting institutions, as well as community members, are invited to attend the free event to explore career opportunities and network with participating employers.
