The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's cross country team delivered a program-best performance at the GLVC Championships on Saturday. UIS earned a third-place finish with 97 points scored, highlighted by the standout effort of Madelyn Miller-Ross, who captured the individual GLVC title.

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's soccer team will close its home schedule on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. against Indianapolis at Kiwanis Stadium. The Prairie Stars will celebrate their senior class at their final home game, and fans in Halloween costumes will receive free admission. Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield (2-9-3, 1-8-2 GLVC) UIS turned in competitive performances last weekend, dropping a 2-1 match to Maryville on Friday and a 1-0 decision to McKendree on Sunday.

The UIS men's golf team will wrap up its fall season this weekend at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational, hosted at The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky. The two-day event will take place Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25-26, with live scoring available through Clippd. The UIS lineup will feature Peyton Woods, Vilgot Arleback, Jake Baldin, Sacha Lamraski, Julien Babineau, and Daniel Edwards.

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's soccer team will take its home field for the final time this season on Sunday when the Prairie Stars host Indianapolis at 12:00 p.m. at Kiwanis Stadium. For Senior Salute, fans are encouraged to fill the stands and help celebrate the senior class in their final home appearance. The UIS volleyball team (10-10, 2-5 GLVC) defeated Southwest Baptist (8-13, 1-5 GLVC) in four sets on Friday, with scores of 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19. The Prairie Stars turned in a strong all-around performance, collecting 75 digs on defense and 56 kills on offense.
