WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield and the Springfield Art Association present 鈥淜rzysztof Wodiczko: The Art of Un-War,鈥 a film screening and Q&A with Krzysztof Wodiczko and award-winning filmmaker and artist Maria Niro. The film documentary chronicles the life and political work of Wodiczko, an internationally acclaimed artist. This event is free and open to the public.

The is pleased to present 鈥淚n the Shadow,鈥 an installation of ceramic works by Decatur-based artist Jennifer Holt. The exhibition will open on Monday, March 6, and run through Thursday, April 13. A reception will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the gallery.

UIS Theatre presents Student Directed Scenes
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield (UIS) Theatre Program invitees the public to attend Student Directed Scenes, an interesting variety pack of scenes from contemporary American plays.
Student Directed Scenes offers two opportunities to view students鈥 final projects in the course Directing for the Theatre (THE 476).
Student Directed Scenes will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 and Friday, Dec. 2 in the Studio Theatre, located on the lower level of the Public Affairs Center building at UIS. Admission is free.

WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 System鈥檚 Center for Urban Resilience and Environmental Sustainability (CURES) will hold its second at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield.
UIS Theatre to present six performances of 鈥淢edea鈥 by Euripides
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Theatre Program will present six performances of 鈥淢edea鈥 by Euripides opening on Friday, Oct. 28 in the Studio Theatre, located on the lower level of the Public Affairs Center at UIS.
All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m., except the Sunday performance (Oct. 30), which will begin at 2 p.m. Opening weekend performance dates include Oct. 28-30. The following week, the play will be performed Nov. 3-5.
The UIS Visual Arts Gallery presents Turkish artist Hale Ekinci in solo exhibition and lecture series
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield presents 鈥淢otif: Silent Language,鈥 an exhibition of mixed-media fiber works by Turkish artist Hale Ekinci. 鈥淢otif: Silent Language鈥 will open on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 and will run through Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022.
UIS presents the 44th annual International Festival
WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield invites the community to the 44th annual International Festival. The longest running student-led program in the history of the University, the festival features live cultural performances and samples of food from around the world. Admission is free.
