The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Center for Lincoln Studies will hold a workshop for K-12 social studies educators and the 2022 Mary and James Beaumont Endowed Lincoln Legacy Lecture Series, both focused on 鈥淟incoln and African Americans in History and Memory,鈥� on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

WHAT: The 缅北禁地 Innocence Project at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield will hold its annual featuring the Exoneree Band with Amanda Knox.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield will host a webinar panel discussion to explore the connection between policing and health disparities in our own community.

The UIS Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淧oly-wave: Seeds of Color and Shape,鈥� a solo exhibition by Chicago-based artist and UIS alum Mauricio Ramirez, which will open on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, and run through Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022.

Sangamon Experience at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield invites the public to attend 鈥淒ennis Williams: Prominent 19th聽Century African American Artist in Springfield, 缅北禁地.鈥� This presentation is by Mary Frances, a local independent historian and artist, and is funded by 缅北禁地 Humanities.聽聽

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield is proud to announce 鈥淢aking Our History: Artists Render Lincoln鈥檚 Legacies,鈥� an innovative physical and digital art exhibit funded by the University of 缅北禁地 Presidential Initiative: Expanding the Impact of the Arts and Humanities.

WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield will host a webinar panel discussion on human rights violations, legal recourses for victims the role of the international community in the conflict in Ukraine.

This virtual Zoom webinar is free and open to the public. It is hosted by the UIS Center for State Policy and Leadership and UIS College of Public Affairs and Administration. Co-sponsors include the UIS Office of Continuing and Professional Education and NPR 缅北禁地.

University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) will offer four academic summer camps for middle and high school students in June and July. Each experience will be led by a UIS faculty member and will offer students a challenging, fun and affordable summer experience.
