UIS鈥 Innovate Springfield and Illini Angels to conduct workshop on angel investing
WHAT: Innovate Springfield, the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield鈥檚 downtown business incubator, will partner with Illini Angels to present an educational workshop on angel investing. Angel investing involves individuals providing financial support to early-stage startups in exchange for equity, aiming for a return on investment as the company grows.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淐onsider a Disappearance,鈥 an exhibition by Chicago-based artist and experimental filmmaker . 鈥淐onsider a Disappearance鈥 will open on Monday, Feb. 12 and run through Thursday, March 7. An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15.
UIS announces 2024 Black History Month events
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield will host several events to celebrate Black History Month (BHM) 2024 during February. The theme of this year's celebration is "BHM 2024 Roots and Rhythm."

New UIS Sangamon Experience exhibit tells the history of underrepresented people in central 缅北禁地
鈥淭he Struggle for Change,鈥 a new exhibit by the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield鈥檚 Sangamon Experience, will tell the history of underrepresented people in central 缅北禁地 when it opens on Jan. 12 on the lower level of the UIS Public Affairs Center. The exhibition will run through Sept. 6.

WHAT: , the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield鈥檚 downtown business incubator, and the Community Foundation for the Land of Lincoln will present a conversation on 鈥淭he Next Technology Revolution鈥 with Springfield native Cully Davis, vice chairman for equity private markets at Jeffries.
Former U.S. Ambassador Charles Ray to speak at UIS
WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield will host former U.S. Ambassador Charles Ray who will speak about a new report, 鈥淏lueprints for a More Modern U.S. Diplomatic Service.鈥 The report includes recommendations on ways the United States can improve its diplomacy. The program is sponsored by the UIS School of Politics and International Affairs and the World Affairs Council of Central 缅北禁地. The event is open to the public.
