Today is the deadline to order your Commencement regalia. All students participating in Commencement must wear a black cap and gown (known as regalia).听听 If you have not already done so, purchase your regalia听today听by 10:59 p.m.听via our partner, Herff Jones.听You can choose free delivery to the UIS Bookstore or pay for home delivery 鈥� whichever is most convenient for you. Orders will be available for pickup at the听Bookstore听beginning听May 4.

UIS Commencement 2023 is rapidly approaching, and we鈥檙e looking for volunteers to help make this year鈥檚 Commencement Ceremonies memorable for our students.
Thank you for submitting your Intent to Participate form. You鈥檝e officially notified us that you plan to attend Commencement! The last step in the process is to order your regalia. All students participating in Commencement must wear a black cap and gown (known as regalia).

Required Intent to Participate Form Due听Monday,听March 20听
Confirm your participation in Commencement by submitting an听听by听11:59 p.m. tonight.听If you do not complete the form today, you will not walk in Commencement.听
Commencement Ceremony
UIS Commencement is at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Bank of Springfield Center in downtown Springfield.听

For your situational awareness, the 2023 Commencement Committee wanted to share an update regarding a previous email that was sent out to students about important graduation and Commencement information. To view this email announcement on the UIS website, please click here.
Graduates: Deadline for Commencement Intent to Participate
All graduates wishing to participate in Commencement on May 13, 2023 must submit an Intent to Participate form听by March 20. Only those who are eligible are able to submit their intent to participate form. This step is required, even for students who are making special cap and gown arrangements (E.g., borrowing a black cap and gown).

Students graduating in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023 must submit an online Graduation Application via Student Self-Service ( - 鈥淕raduation鈥� tab) by October 3, 2022 (Fall 2022) or February 17, 2023 (Spring 2023).听 Students MUST be sure to verify that all curriculum information is listed accurately BEFORE submitting an online Graduation Application (including major, minor, concentration, etc.).听
For the 650 students who walked across the stage at the听BOS Center听Saturday to receive a diploma from the听University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, graduation day had no shortage of anticipation and meaning.
