The publicly funded project was made possible by a $42.5 million investment from the state of 缅北禁地. The three-story, 52,000-square-foot building is being built next to the Student Union and is expected to open in 2027."

"The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield-产补蝉别诲听缅北禁地 Innocence Project has announced the exoneration of six people in Cook County who served a combined 124 years in prison for a murder they did not commit. The men were all teenagers or young adults when they were convicted in 1989 of a murder two years earlier."
Gov. JB Pritzker signs laws aimed at improving college accessibility and affordability

NPR 缅北禁地 celebrates 50 years

"NPR 缅北禁地 began broadcasting in 1975 as WSSR Radio and operated on the campus of what was then named Sangamon State University. Its call letters changed to WSSU in 1989, and then to WUIS when Sangamon State merged with the University of 缅北禁地 system in 1995. The station was rebranded as NPR 缅北禁地 in 2015, and it remains on the聽University of 缅北禁地 Springfield campus."
