Students who wish to participate in Commencement must complete an Intent to Participate form by March 25. The form will be live at uis.edu/commencement from March 11 to March 25.

Welcome, faculty, to our most cherished tradition.听The 54th annual UIS Commencement ceremonies were held in Sangamon Auditorium in the UIS Performing Arts Center.听Three commencement ceremonies (divided by college) were held to celebrate our graduates on听Friday, May 9, 2025, and听Saturday, May 10, 2025.听 Please direct any questions to commencement@uis.edu.听
Students graduating in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 must submit an online Graduation Application via Student Self-Service ( - 鈥淕raduation鈥� tab) by October 2, 2023 (Fall 2023), or February 16, 2023 (Spring 2024).听Students MUST be sure to verify that all curriculum information is listed accurately BEFORE submitting an online Graduation Application (including major, minor, concentration, etc.).听

Commencement day is almost here! Please read the following info to be fully informed.
When/Where
Saturday, May 13, 2 p.m.| Bank of Springfield Center in downtown Springfield.
Arrival
Arrive between 1 and 1:30 p.m. The doors will close 15 minutes prior to the ceremony; you will not participate if you arrive after the doors close. Give yourself ample time for traffic, finding a parking spot and walking to the BOS Center. There are other events the same day downtown, so parking might take extra time.

When/Where Is Commencement?
UIS is hosting one Commencement ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Bank of Springfield Center in downtown Springfield. The ceremony will last approximately 1.5 hours.听
