The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield is expanding its academic programs to better serve students and meet workforce needs by enhancing its Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies program with new transfer pathways focused on paralegal preparation and introducing a Public Leadership minor open to all undergraduate majors.

​The Ãå±±½ûµØ Municipal Policy Journal is a collaboration between Ãå±±½ûµØ Municipal League (IML) and the College of Public Affairs and Education at the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ at Springfield. We are honored to serve as the journal’s editorial home since 2020. This collaboration reflects the College’s values and mission in serving local communities through the faculty’s expertise, skills, and experience.

A University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield researcher has co-authored a new study showing that the way political leaders talk about refugees can significantly influence public opinion.

Cristian Leon-Vallejo came to the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield as a first-generation student from a small Latino family - and now he’s leaving with a degree in communications and a legacy of leadership across campus. Congratulations, Cristian!

Matt O’Shea’s road to a communication degree from the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield wasn’t easy. He attended four schools, faced academic setbacks, went to rehab and built a family along the way. Today, he’s not just crossing the finish line—he’s proving it’s never too late to finish what you started.

The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield Mock Trial team secured victories in its first rounds of the 2024-25 season at the Ãå±±½ûµØ State University Invitational, held Nov. 1-3. The event featured 30 teams from seven states and is recognized as one of the most competitive invitational tournaments leading up to the regional rounds in February 2025.
