The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield is expanding opportunities for working professionals to gain in-demand marketing expertise through the launch of its new MBA Certificate in Marketing and Graduate Certificate in Marketing. Beginning in Fall 2025, these programs will be available in an online format, offering flexibility for students looking to advance their careers while balancing work and personal commitments.
Valerie Udemba鈥檚 journey to earning her MBA at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield is nothing short of inspiring. As an international student from Nigeria, she learned about different cultures and felt welcomed by the UIS community. This year, she鈥檒l be using her voice as the student commencement speaker to represent and uplift the Class of 2025.
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield College of Business and Management is proud to share the success of the spring 2025 High School Stock Trading Competition, led by UIS Assistant Professors of Finance Serkan Karadas and Tammy Schlosky. Now in its third year, the competition saw an impressive increase in student participation and school engagement.

What was your overall UIS experience like?
I graduated with a BA in Accounting. UIS's flexible schedule and focusing on working students, which was not common at that time, was extremely important to me. I learned Accounting while at UIS, which led me to a 40 year career in all kinds of financial positions. I was a member of the Accounting Club.

Call for Papers
They are inviting you to submit your research in all areas related to behavioral and social finance/economics to the 18th International Conference of the BFWG to be held on Jun. 4-6 in London. As in previous years, the Conference promises to bring together a vibrant community of academics and practitioners in finance, economics, psychology, and decision sciences, featuring regular and poster presentations, academic and practitioner keynotes, and research awards.
