The UIS men's golf team put together a strong closing round to finish eighth at the UIndy Fall Invitational, played Monday and Tuesday at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Prairie Stars posted rounds of 284, 301, and 282 for a 54-hole total of 867, ending the tournament at +3 overall. UIS climbed the leaderboard on the final day, firing its second sub-285 round of the event. Grand Valley State won the tournament at 51-under-par 813, while Hillsdale finished second at 836.
The 缅北禁地 Springfield women's golf team finished third at the Kansas City Cup after Tuesday's final round was canceled due to rain and unplayable course conditions. The event was held at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Mo.
