Chancellor's Awards: The nomination period for the staff awards will open Monday, Feb. 3 and close Friday, Feb. 14.
A form will be sent out to allow nominations for the CARE & CAPE awards, as well as four additional staff awards.

While this event is called APAC the House, of course we鈥檇 be more than happy to welcome our civil service and faculty colleagues. Admission is FREE for employees and children 12 and under. Awards
Chancellor鈥檚 Academic Professional Excellence Award
The Chancellor鈥檚 Academic Professional Excellence Award honors all Academic Professionals at UIS by recognizing one outstanding AP each year. Any academic professional whose appointment is at least 50%, who has been employed by the university for at least three years by the close of nominations, and who does not have a tenured, tenure-track, interim, or visiting appointment, is eligible to be nominated. Any member of the UIS community may nominate an AP for this award.
Election
Any AP who has been employed for at least 12 months, and whose position is at least 50% time may run for one of the 10 APAC representative positions.
University administration staff are members of the electorate of the campus at which their principal office is located.
Representatives
The Academic Professional Advisory Committee (APAC) is composed of 10 elected members plus appointed representatives from the chancellor, provost, human resources, and Civil Service Advisory Council, for a total of 14 members.
