The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield presented alumni and service awards during the annual Alumni Gala at the Student Union on Sept. 20. The event recognized four distinguished individuals for their professional achievements, service to the university and contributions to society.

As we begin another academic year at UIS, I am writing to invite you to participate in the State and University Employees Combined Appeal (SECA) campaign. SECA offers faculty and staff a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities across Ãå±±½ûµØ and beyond through charitable giving.

Vachel Lindsay Drive will be closed Wednesday, September 17 at noon and re-open Thursday September 18 at noon.

Please use Ernest Hemingway Drive and University Drive to access campus during this time.

Residents of West Campus may access the parking lot using 11th Street and the first parking lot entrance on Vachel Lindsay Drive.
