    The UIS men's soccer team fell 2-0 to Quincy on Friday night at Kiwanis Stadium. With the result, the Prairie Stars move to 1-3-1 overall and 0-2 in GLVC play.

The opening stretch was evenly played, with both sides creating chances and the goalkeepers stepping up to keep the match level. A single yellow card was issued in the first 39 minutes before tensions rose late in the half, when each team was booked once more.

    The UIS volleyball team dropped a three-set match to Nebraska-Kearney on Friday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars fell by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-17, moving to 6-3 on the season.

    The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to Quincy on Friday evening, moving to 1-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in GLVC play.

The Hawks struck early, building a 3-0 lead within the first 16 minutes before UIS settled into the match. Goalkeeper Makenna Miller made several stops in the opening half, but Quincy's attack proved difficult to contain.

    ÌýThe Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's cross country team fielded a partial squad Friday evening at the Bradley Intercollegiate, finishing fifth out of 23 teams at Detweiller Park.

The Prairie Stars scored 184 points and posted a 2:15:14 total time, just six points behind Great Lakes Valley Conference rival Truman State. UIS finished well ahead of GLVC foes Missouri-St. Louis, Maryville, McKendree and Quincy.

    McBride Leads UIS Women's Cross Country at Bradley Intercollegiate

    The UIS women's cross country team placed ninth Friday at the Bradley Intercollegiate, held at Detweiller Park.
 
  Meet Recap UIS fielded a partial squad but competed strongly against a competitive mix of NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NAIA programs. The Prairie Stars finished behind eight teams, including GLVC rivals Maryville and Truman State, but ahead of Quincy, Missouri-St. Louis, and McKendree, showcasing depth and potential in their young group.  |
