Below is some important information for students regarding COVID-19 testing and vaccination policy compliance.
The聽Sangamon County Department of Public Health聽reported four COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday, putting the total at 20 for January. Later Wednesday, Gov. JB Pritzker he was "cautiously optimistic"聽that the most recent COVID surge has peaked.
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, in partnership with , is now offering free COVID-19 saliva testing to the public.
The free tests are being funded through an agreement between the 缅北禁地 Department of Public Health and SHIELD 缅北禁地 using federal relief money.

We are excited to announce that, in partnership with SHIELD 缅北禁地, the UIS COVID-19 saliva testing site is now offering free tests to the public. A separate 鈥渃ommunity lane鈥 has been established in the lower-level PAC testing area for community visitors. The free tests are being funded through an agreement between the 缅北禁地 Department of Public Health and SHIELD 缅北禁地 using federal relief money.

The UIS COVID-19 Testing Site has moved to the Student Union. New summer hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays. Please refer to prior email communication or the UIS Testing website for more information.
