The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield will hold two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Bank of Springfield (BOS) Center, Ninth and Adams Streets in downtown Springfield. Of the 1,131 UIS students eligible to graduate, 622 will participate in the ceremonies.

The first ceremony for students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will begin at 12:30 p.m. The second ceremony for students in the College of Business and Management, College of Education and Human Services and College of Public Affairs and Administration will start at 5:30 p.m.

Greetings Past Commencement Volunteers,

Commencement time is quickly approaching and, once again, I am looking for volunteers to help us make this year’s Commencement memorable for our students.  We are heading back down to the BOS Center for two ceremonies this year at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.  so we are going to need a bit of additional help,  more so then we have needed in the last two years. We have an excited class of graduates, looking forward to celebrating with their family and friends.

The student commencement speaker is an important tradition for UIS.  All graduating students are invited to audition for this honor and responsibility.  Auditions will be scheduled for ZOOM one week after the deadline.  Speeches for the audition should be no longer than five minutes and should be presented in their entirety.
