It’s my pleasure to announce the appointment of Dr. Linda M. Delene as UIS interim provost/vice chancellor for academic affairs, effective Monday, Jan. 9. Dr. Delene will serve as interim provost/VCAA designate until completion of the formal approval process with the Board of Trustees at its Jan. 26 meeting.

Campus certainly is quieter now that finals are over and students are making their way home for winter break. I hope you each are managing well through your own end-of-semester tasks and that you are preparing for some much-deserved downtime.
