Artworks in the Art & Artifacts Collection at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, decorative arts, and miscellaneous objects, are offered to UIS faculty and staff through an intra-campus loan program for display in your office!

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is proud to present 鈥淟鈥櫭塸h茅m猫re,鈥� an exhibition of recent paintings by celebrated 缅北禁地 artist Rosalyn Schwartz. The exhibition opens Aug. 25 and runs through Oct. 2, 2025. A public reception will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the UIS Visual Arts Gallery. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淗ijx De Viboras Doradas,鈥� an exhibition by Chicago-based artist Moises Salazar Tlatenchi. 鈥淗ijx De Viboras Doradas鈥� opens Feb. 10 and runs through March 6.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to announce, 鈥淔ive Miles/Twenty-Five Years,鈥� a solo exhibition by interdisciplinary artist Ahmed Ozsever. The exhibition opens Jan. 13 and runs through Feb. 6, 2025. A public reception will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the UIS Visual Arts Gallery. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is excited to announce its annual silent auction and benefit, featuring a diverse collection of original art, reproductions, decorative objects and crafts donated by artists and community supporters. This year鈥檚 auction will be held both online and in person, making it easy for collectors and supporters across the region to participate.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淐ontinuum鈥� by Springfield-based artist and Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) Professor Laura Anderson. 鈥淐ontinuum鈥� will open on Sept. 26 and run through Oct. 17. A reception for this exhibition will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26. This event is free and open to the public.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淐onsider a Disappearance,鈥� an exhibition by Chicago-based artist and experimental filmmaker . 鈥淐onsider a Disappearance鈥� will open on Monday, Feb. 12 and run through Thursday, March 7. An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15.

鈥淭urn On Every Light鈥� will open on Tuesday, Jan. 16 and run through Thursday, Feb. 8. An exhibition reception will be held at the gallery from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25. This event is free and open to the public.
