Orchestra
The UIS Orchestra is composed of UIS students, faculty/staff, and community musicians that perform a variety of works from the standard orchestral repertoire as well as new and innovative compositions.
The UIS Orchestra is composed of UIS students, faculty/staff, and community musicians that perform a variety of works from the standard orchestral repertoire as well as new and innovative compositions.
The UIS Chorus is a mixed choral ensemble that invites participation by UIS students, faculty/staff, and community members. Choral repertoire includes a broad variety of styles and genres ranging from standard works with ensemble accompaniment to popular song repertoire. The Chorus performs at least one concert each semester.
The UIS Band is available to students, faculty/staff, and community members. As a traditional concert band, the ensemble performs a variety of repertoire for large ensemble. The band is particularly welcoming to general education students and to high school students that want to improve their performance skills.

The Camerata is a scholarship-supported musical experience available to current and incoming students of any major. Interested applicants must complete an Institutional Scholarship Application and aÌýUIS Camerata Scholarship Application Form,Ìýwhich includes a video audition. The Department of Art, Music, and Theatre fosters study in the practical application of various arts disciplines, as well as study in the historical, cultural, and philosophical underpinnings of each discipline.
