Did you know that UIS has a field station located on Lake Springfield just steps away from campus? Well, now you do! Bring your lunch and join us for lawn games, canoeing or a field station lab tour on July 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Spend your lunch hour getting to know this hidden gem and all that this space has to offer! Cookies will also be provided.

Employee Development Series: Timekeeping
The Office of Human Resources is pleased to announce the next installment of the Employee Development Series: Timekeeping. This session will be held virtually on June 24聽from 9 to 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend this session. Systems that we will be discussing and demonstrating are as follows: VSL, AVSL, FLRS, Timesheets (Banner Self-Service). Speakers will also be covering the time-entry process specific to leaves, as well as establishing time reporting procedures within your office.

CSAC聽provides a communication link between Civil Service employees, the Director of Human Resources, the Chancellor, campus-wide, university-wide, and state-wide groups. All status (non-probationary) Civil Service employees are invited to submit online nomination forms for this year's Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) election.
Employee Development Series: Discussing Implicit Bias
Please join us for the next session of the Employee Development Series: Discussing Implicit Bias. This session will be presented by Ray Rodriguez, Senior Director of Access & Equity Title IX Coordinator.
This is an annual reminder that your employees may be eligible to participate in an alternative or flexible work schedule, operations permitting, in accordance with applicable policies, rules, and collective bargaining agreements.
The alternative or flexible work schedules for Summer 2025 have a window between 05/11/2025 and 08/16/2025.
