Isaac Farhadian, a 2024 University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield master’s in political science graduate, was honored on April 11, 2025, with the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award for the 2023-2024 academic year.

His thesis, advised by Professor Matthew Geras, analyzes the major determinants of support for capital sentencing among high school seniors. Examining the perspectives of high school seniors on controversial issues holds significance, as they represent the future electorate.

University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield students earned awards and were elected to offices at the Model Ãå±±½ûµØ Government (MIG) simulation, held Feb. 28-March 2 at the Ãå±±½ûµØ State Capitol.

Aisha Katsina Isa, a University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield student pursuing a master’s degree in public health, was honored with the Emerging Public Health Leader Award at the Ãå±±½ûµØ Public Health Association (IPHA) 83rd Annual Meeting and Conference on Nov. 19, 2024.

Connor Krater, a 2023 University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield master’s in history graduate, was honored on April 12, 2024, with the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield’s has received accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). This is the first time in the 32-year history of the program that it has received national accreditation.

University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield Associate Professor of Management, Marketing and Operations Sudeep Sharma recently completed a research trip to Italy, where he shared his expertise in conflict management and negotiation with faculty and doctoral students at the University of Trento. This collaborative venture, which took place June 16-30, 2023, has opened up new avenues for research in the field of negotiation studies.
