This is an endowed fund provided to the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ to be used for the purchase of items or commodities that will add to the attractiveness of the University to visitors, such as rare books, works of art and museum items/pieces. Successfully funded prior projects at UIS include: the welcome mural in Enrollment Management; artwork for the new Library Commons; interior and external artwork for the Student Union; and the Lincoln statue.

Greetings Campus Community,
Simplex is performing an update on the fire alarm system in the Public Affairs Center (PAC). As part of the update procedures, the system will need to be tested.
On Tuesday, March 18, from 3 to 4 p.m., horns will be sounded intermittently in PAC. Evacuations are not necessary during this testing period. However, please do not ignore alarms that sound outside that testing window.
Your patience and understanding are appreciated as we work to ensure campus systems are operating properly and are up-to-date.
UIS Faculty and Staff:

Thanks to campus and system-level financial support, ITS is in the process of implementing a campus-wide infrastructure refresh as part of our efforts to improve Wi-Fi performance. This is a multi-phase project with an expected projected completion date of August 2025.
During the transition for each building, laptops, tablets, and phones should automatically switch to the new Wi-Fi after a possible brief interruption in service.
