At approximately 10 a.m. on Dec. 11, the UIS Police Department will be conducting a test of the Rave Alert notification system which utilizes text messages, emails, website banners, digital signage and social media. The test will be followed up with an email that contains a link to a brief survey (no longer than 4 questions) to evaluate the efficacy of the system and identify any operational gaps. The second finalist for the UIS Assistant Vice Chancellor for Human Resources will be interviewing on campus today, Nov. 20.
An open forum will take place from 3 to 3:45 p.m. in UHB 3080 for interested faculty and staff to attend and learn more about the candidate. A is available, but in-person attendance is strongly encouraged. Participants on Zoom will be able to ask questions via the chat function only.
International Education Week (IEW) is promoted by the US Department of State and the US Department of Education. Both departments suggest it to be from November 18 to 22 this year. The aims are to prepare Americans for a global environment and to attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. Our excellent offices and departments on campus support the initiative with providing events related to international education.
