The Creation of One Truth: Single-Ledger Entries for Multiple Stakeholders Using Blockchain Technology to Address the Reconciliation Problem.
Dr. Ryan Williams, associate professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at UIS, has contributed his expertise to the popular Netflix documentary series, I am a Stalker. Production crew and campus interviews occurred in March 2022, and Williams spent hours speaking with the producers, who he says were 鈥渃urious and open to listening to what the scholarly literature has found on the topic.鈥
鈥淐riminologists rarely get asked by the media to discuss crimes other than violent murders, which make up a small percentage of violent crimes,鈥 Williams says.

Dr. Arwi Kriz presented her most recent research examining the link between corruption and public capital spending efficiency. While most of the existing research on this topic has tried to associate public capital spending听levels听with corruption, Dr. Kriz points out that more sophisticated measures of efficiency are available.
Dr. Kenneth Kriz Publishes a Co-edited Book on Tax Increment Financing
Dr. Kenneth Krizhas co-edited a new book titled 鈥淭ax Increment Financing and Economic Development.鈥 The book brings together leading experts to examine the evolving nature of tax increment financing (TIF), the most widely used tool of local economic and community development. Originally designed as an innovative approach to the redevelopment of blighted areas, TIF has become a more general-purpose tool of economic and community development.
