We are excited to announce that the Good Idea Fund is available again this year! This initiative offers one-time (non-recurring) funds to support innovative ideas from UIS staff and faculty. If you have a project that could make a positive impact on our University, we want to hear from you! We invite a wide range of ideas that can create broad impact. Whether it's a new program, a research project, or an initiative to improve campus life, we encourage you to apply and share your vision with us.
The Office of Strategic Communications will be hosting two Open Photo Studio sessions for Fall 2025 for all staff or faculty. The photos can be used for university purposes such as department websites, campus directory, speaking engagements at conferences, etc. Any staff or faculty member who either hasn’t had their portrait taken or would like another, more recent, portrait taken are encouraged to attend.
We’re excited to announce that the Parking Lot D improvement project will officially begin on Monday, September 29. Please note that Parking Lot D will be closed starting at the end of day on Thursday, September 25. The paving contractor needs to verify survey data before work begins on Monday.

Artworks in the Art & Artifacts Collection at the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, decorative arts, and miscellaneous objects, are offered to UIS faculty and staff through an intra-campus loan program for display in your office!
On Thursday, September 25, Parking Lot J will be closed to campus for parking due to an event being held at the Student Union.
On this date, please plan accordingly and utilize alternate parking lots authorized by your parking hang tag.
