Jazmin Santiago enjoys the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield because of the small class sizes and the nursing program. Santiago works at the Diversity Center for Hispanic/Latinx Outreach and is a member of the Necessary Steps Program. She chose UIS because of the Diversity Center, the Necessary Steps Peer Mentoring Program, and the integrated nursing program with UIC. Following graduation, she plans to become a nurse.

Jack Buerkett chose the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield in order to earn a University of 缅北禁地 degree on a smaller campus. Buerkett is the president of Campus Movement, a Christian ministry group that hosts fun events through the year, and a resident assistant for UIS Residence Life. When asked what he likes most about UIS he said being a part of Campus Movement and seeing its impact on students.
