Avery Beausoleil enjoys the tight-knit community and interactions with professors at the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield. Beausoleil is a part of the Capital Scholars Honor Program (CAP) and is a student worker at the Cox Children’s Center. Beausoleil chose UIS for the campus size and CAP honors program. Following graduation, they plan to become a middle school teacher.

Matthew Edwards chose the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield because of its affordability and proximity to home. Edwards serves as the vice president for Model Ãå±±½ûµØ Government and The Prairie Clowns. He also serves as the vice chancellor of the Political Understanding and Activist Club and is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon International Fraternity Inc. Following graduation, he plans to obtain a master’s degree in global studies.
