The American Library Association affirms that all libraries are forums for information and ideas, and that the following basic policies should guide their services.
I. Books and other library resources should be provided for the interest, information, and enlightenment of all people of the community the library serves. Materials should not be excluded because of the origin, background, or views of those contributing to their creation.
Summer Fun Under The Overhang At Brookens Library (Aug. 2)
On Thursday, August 2, we invite staff, students and faculty for more Brookens Library fun 鈥淯nder the Overhang鈥� as we celebrate Summer before it鈥檚 gone. From 11:30AM-1:00PM, the supplies will be provided (until they鈥檙e gone), so take a break and stop by to share in some fun summer activities with new and familiar friends at UIS!

Friends of the Library
The Friends of Brookens Library of the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield is a service organization established to support the library. It was formed with two major goals in mind:
Display and Special Use Area Policies
Brookens Library allows use of its display case, lower level lounge and other special use areas for University sponsored displays, events and activities that do not disrupt the normal use of the Library. The display case is located on the Main level of the library. Brookens Library adheres to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield's Access and Equal Opportunity policy in making determinations concerning the use of display and special use areas. The following general guidelines apply:
