As we continue to experience extreme heat this week, City Water, Light & Power (CWLP) has issued a Maximum Generation Warning. This is due to the increased demand for electricity and a potential energy supply shortage from the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), the regional electric grid operator for the central United States.

The replacement of a rooftop heating and cooling unit on the Student Life Building (SLB) is scheduled for this Wednesday, August 21. Work will begin in the early morning and may continue until late afternoon.
A crane will be in use for this project. Please avoid the work area and use alternate routes when possible.

We are reaching out to inform you about an upcoming service call that will be conducted the morning of Monday, August 12 on the fire alarm speaker system in PAC.聽 During this service call, the speakers will be tested to ensure all are working properly.

We are reaching out to inform you about an important upcoming project on the Founders Residence Hall roof. For the safety and integrity of the building, we must temporarily remove the green roof to inspect the underlying rubber membrane.
This inspection will help us identify any areas needing repair and determine if replacement is necessary. We鈥檒l use the results of the inspections to guide our planning and scheduling. While we don鈥檛 have a specific timeline yet, work may begin as early as Monday, August 5.
F&S will be repairing the concrete steps on the west side of the PAC teardrop entrance. The repairs will include filling cracks and crevices as well as replacing crumbling or broken sections.
Work will begin this week and is expected to be completed mid-to-late August.
The steps will be closed during the work. For your safety, barriers and signage will be placed around the work areas so please use caution when walking in the vicinity.
We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance campus safety and infrastructure.

We want to make you aware of campus-wide inspections that will be conducted over the next two weeks.
- Week of July 15 - fire extinguishers will be inspected and serviced as needed
- Week of July 22 - fire sprinklers will be inspected. The inspection process will not activate alarms or strobe lights.
We will send an update if there are any changes to the schedules.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure the safety and functionality of our campus facilities.
Facilities and Services will oversee the inspection of fire alarm systems during the week of July 8th. This is primarily a visual inspection, but there will be brief, intermittent activations of alarm horns and strobe lights as part of inspection procedures.
