The 缅北禁地 Springfield men's track and field team heads to the GVSU Big Meet in Allendale, Mich., one of the biggest weekends of competition during the regular season. Friday will feature mostly 5,000-meter heats, including invitational heats with tough time standards. Saturday will see UIS athletes in open heats of distance events, highlighted by the 3,000-meter run in the morning.

UIS Baseball has started the season strong, with two Prairie Stars earning GLVC Weekly honors after the season-opening series against Tusculum.
The UIS women's golf team is hosting a special fundraising event to recognize National Girls & Women in Sports Day, which took place on February 5th. This event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the UIS Golf Simulator at The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) on campus.
The UIS men's basketball team will wrap up a three-game home stretch on Thursday, hosting Indianapolis at 7:30 p.m. at TRAC.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield women's and men's cross country teams, along with six individual student-athletes, have been recognized with U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors.
To earn individual All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 30 percent of their respective regional championship meet. The following Prairie Stars achieved this honor:

UIS Athletics is collecting snack items for Compass for Kids, a not-for-profit organization that is transforming the Springfield community. Through innovative after-school and summer programs, Compass for Kids provides critical resources and support to underserved children in Springfield Public Schools (District 186).
