Good Idea Fund
Do you have a Good Idea that could help make a positive difference for UIS? We are pleased to announce the availability again this year of one-time (non-recurring) funds to support implementation of good ideas from UIS staff and faculty. A wide range of ideas will be considered with the goal to fund projects with broad impact to the University.
According to UIS policy, each academic year the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Provost notifies the UIS community of the names of those among the faculty scheduled for tenure review and second or fourth year reappointment review. Listed below are the names of the faculty members scheduled for reviews this academic year:
UIS announces 23 new faculty appointments for fall 2024
The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield has announced the appointment of 23 new faculty members for fall 2024. These educators bring a diverse array of expertise and research interests to their respective fields, enhancing the university鈥檚 commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

The Provost's Leadership Team is excited to announce that 16 of 25 Good Idea Fund proposals have been fully or partially funded this year. The Good Idea Fund offers one-time (non-recurring) funds to support innovative ideas from UIS staff and faculty. We received a variety of creative proposals, and $46,033 has been awarded for use through June 30, 2026. A final report from awardees is due no later than July 15, 2026.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield held a faculty honors reception on April 29, 2024. Chancellor Janet Gooch and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Provost Brandon Schwab presided over the ceremony.
