Study.com has published its 2021 rankings, and University of Ãå±±½ûµØ at Springfield has been ranked #1 on their list Best Online Master's in Data Science Programs!

To compile this list they considered hundreds of universities across the country and selected University of Ãå±±½ûµØ at Springfield based on academic and career resources, the quality of education, faculty, and more.

The information technology field offers incredible opportunities for skilled professionals, and a computer science master's degree puts graduates in a position to capitalize. 

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the addition of more than 660,000 new computer occupations between 2020 and 2030. An advanced computer science degree can lead to some of the most in-demand positions among them. 

The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield cross country program prides itself on local talent. All but one runner hails from the state of Ãå±±½ûµØ — most from downstate. 

Those local connections would become extra meaningful this weekend if the entire men’s cross country team qualified for the NCAA Division II meet for the first time in school history. 

Future college students can now apply to all Ãå±±½ûµØ’ public universities with just one application.

A simple check of a box will send applications to 900 schools throughout the state.

The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield (UIS) joined the Common App in September before Governor Pritzker’s announced all public universities in Ãå±±½ûµØ would join the program.

Making the switch has already increased the number of freshmen applications the school has received, and more are expected.
