University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield Student Affairs staff and programs were honored with awards at the Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Region V Conference in Madison, Wisconsin, October 27-29, 2022.

Marie Watson, associate director of student life, received the Inspiring Vision Award for mid-level professionals.

The Alpha Alpha Gamma chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor Society in Education, at the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield inducted 12 new members during a ceremony in the Studio Union on Sunday, Nov. 6. Julie Hoffman, a Springfield Public Schools teacher and adjunct professor at UIS, was the guest speaker.

Nicolette Owens of Springfield has been selected as the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield (UIS) student recipient of the Student Laureate Award from the Lincoln Academy of Ãå±±½ûµØ. Only one UIS student is honored with the prestigious award each academic year.
