The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield has announced 15 new faculty appointments. Three faculty members will teach in the College of Business and Management; three in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; one in the College of Health, Science and Technology; and seven in the College of Public Affairs and Education.

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present 鈥淎 Public Commons,鈥� a project building on UIS' history of being an institution focused on openness, innovation and adaptability. The project recreates 鈥渢he pit,鈥� a popular 1970s Sangamon State University (now UIS) classroom known for its lack of desks and chairs.

WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Campus Recreation Department will hold the eighth annual Prairie Stars 5K run/walk. The race is open to UIS students, faculty, staff and community members.

WHEN: 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9

UIS Professional Development Retreat | Sept. 15 | Register by Aug. 31!

In response to faculty and staff feedback, UIS is offering a Professional Development Retreat next month for Civil Service/Academic Professional staff and Faculty. A multidisciplinary team of UIS colleagues has developed an exciting half-day retreat focused on Workplace Wellness.
