The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's cross country team heads north this weekend for the Lucian Rosa Invite, hosted by Wisconsin-Parkside at the Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wis. The meet will bring together top-level NCAA Division II competition, highlighted by key Midwest Region matchups. The men's championship race is scheduled for 10:15 a.m., followed by an open race at 11:45 a.m., as entries are limited in both the men's and women's championship events.

UIS Men's Soccer Falls 2-1 at Rockhurst

The UIS men's soccer team struck early but couldn't hold off Rockhurst on Friday night, falling 2-1 on the road and ultimately dropping to 2-3-1 overall, 1-2 GLVC.Â
UIS grabbed the lead in the seventh minute when Mahomet Doucoure and Spencer Martin set up Robin Lemke Bergseth for a highlight finish. Martin delivered a short and precise pass that Bergseth ran onto and fired across the goal into the far corner, past a leaping Rockhurst keeper. |
GLVC Volleyball Matches Come to Springfield This Weekend

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield volleyball team will open Great Lakes Valley Conference play at TRAC this weekend, hosting Lewis on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. and Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
Friday's match will serve as Hazing Prevention Night. Fans are encouraged to wear purple to show their commitment to hazing prevention and support National Hazing Prevention Week.

UIS Men’s Cross Country Back in National Top 30

After receiving votes in last week's release, the UIS men's cross country team is back in the national rankings, moving into the top-30 at No. 28 in the USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll. Some of the region's top teams competed at the Roy Griak Invitational, while UIS rested its top runners to focus on the upcoming Lucian Rosa Invitational at Parkside this weekend.
