Guidelines and Instructions for Applying for CSAC Professional Development Funding for FY 2025
The Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) is pleased to announce that FY2025 funding has been made available to assist Civil Service Employees (CS) at UIS with professional development. Any CS employee employed with a 50% (minimum) appointment may apply for up to $1,200 to use toward any aspect of past or future professional development occurring during the 2025 fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). |

UIS Cross Country Ready to Host Hy-Vee Prairie Stars Invitational

The University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield cross country teams are gearing up to host the Hy-Vee Prairie Stars Invitational on Friday, Sept. 6 The women's 5K race will kick off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's 7K race at 6:15 p.m. on the UIS Cross Country Course.
The event, held on the UIS Cross Country Course, will feature competitive races for both men's and women's teams. The UIS men's and women's cross country teams swept the meet at the start of the 2023 season, and look to do so again.Â

"University of Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield students are back in class, and you never know who will go on to accomplish big time things once they graduate. For instance, some of the school's most noteworthy alumni range from a Grammy winner to Pulitzer Prize recipients. The list includes former students from Sangamon State University, which was established in 1969. SSU merged with the University of Ãå±±½ûµØ system in 1995. |
