On October 24, 2025, between 9:30 am and 10:30 am, law enforcement officers from the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, 缅北禁地 State Police, 缅北禁地 Secretary of State Police, and the Sangamon County Sheriff鈥檚 Office will be participating in a聽dignitary protection training exercise聽on campus.
The training will take place in the area around Sangamon Auditorium and will involve officers wearing suits and earpieces, as well as a single large tactical vehicle that will be part of a simulated motorcade.
This training is pre-planned and coordinated with University Police. The training will not disrupt normal campus operations, though brief traffic or parking adjustments near the auditorium may occur.
We appreciate your understanding as our public safety partners conduct this brief and controlled exercise designed to enhance interagency readiness and coordination.
