A variety of events are scheduled in the Springfield area 鈥� especially at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield and Lincoln Land Community College听鈥� highlighting听the observance that began听Feb. 1.

Tuesday, Feb. 1- Step Afrika!
Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, traditional African dances and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience.
Monday, Feb. 7听- Addressing Sexual Health Inequities in the Black Community.
The mission of the听event is to increase awareness of the structural and societal inequities that lead to sexual health disparities in the Black community.听
Thursday, Feb. 10听- Titans in Rock: Musicians throughout the Ages.
This event will discuss the evolution of rock, from its roots in music to its expansion into different demographics.
