WHAT: The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Campus Recreation Department will host the annual Health and Safety Fair. This year鈥檚 theme is 鈥淒on鈥檛 Gamble with your Health.鈥� This event is free and open to the public, UIS students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Loki Davis of Springfield awarded a $16,000 scholarship from the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield

Loki Davis of Springfield, a 2021 graduate of Lanphier High School, has been admitted to the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield for Fall Semester 2022 and awarded a $16,000 Lincoln Merit Scholarship for tuition over four years. At UIS, she will major in psychology.
The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.
At Lanphier High School, she was a member of the drama club, paranormal club and the National Honor Society.

UIS Visual Arts senior group exhibition 鈥淥VER/LOOK鈥� considers the past and looks to the future

The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Visual Arts Gallery presents 鈥淥VER/LOOK,鈥� a mixed media exhibition of works by graduating seniors from the UIS Visual Arts Department. 鈥淥VER/LOOK鈥� will open on Monday, April 25 and run through Thursday, May 12. A reception will be held in the UIS Visual Arts Gallery from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28. This event is free and open to the public.

Green Fee Committee approved 11 new sustainable projects

On February 2, 2021, the Green Fee Committee approved聽11 new sustainable projects!聽 These new efforts, submitted by UIS students, faculty, and staff, are a refreshing sight amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.聽 They will begin to be implemented throughout the Spring 2021 semester.聽 Please contact聽greenprojects@uis.edu聽with any questions about these projects.聽 The project titles are listed below:
