The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield (UIS) seeks an artist or artist team to complete an interactive mural on campus, located in the Admission Lobby area of University Hall. The mural is to be completed during late spring/early summer of 2024.

The Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) is pleased to announce that FY2024 funding has been made available to assist Civil Service Employees (CS) at UIS with professional development. Each status CS employee employed at least 50% time may apply for up to $1,200 to use toward any aspect of past or future professional development occurring during the 2024 fiscal year (July 1, 2023 鈥� June 30, 2024). Examples include subscriptions to journals, conference and meeting registration, conference travel, workshops, and online training materials.

Lisa Bowen has been named the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield Employee of the Month for November 2023. She is the classroom scheduling administrator for UIS Facilities and Services.

Her nominator said she is 鈥渁 hard worker and great listener.鈥� Her supervisor, Aaron Stewart, adds she 鈥渆xcels at every aspect of her position, but she exudes distinction in customer service and organization.鈥�
