UIS Softball Rallies to Win in Extras, Sweeps UMSL

The 缅北禁地 Springfield softball team picked up a pair of wins against Missouri-St. Louis on Friday, taking the first game 3-2 and then prevailing 6-4 in nine innings. UIS improves to 21-12 overall and 9-5 in GLVC play, while UMSL drops to 11-16 overall and 4-8 in the conference.

UIS Softball Set to Face UMSL on Friday, Lincoln on Sunday

The UIS softball team will continue Great Lakes Valley Conference action this weekend with a pair of doubleheaders. The Prairie Stars will travel to St. Louis to take on Missouri-St. Louis on Friday afternoon before heading to Jefferson City, Mo., on Sunday for a pair of games against Lincoln.

Ella Brinkley, the senior third baseman for the UIS softball team, has earned a spot on the 2025 NFCA Division II Player of the Year watchlist.听A total of 116 student-athletes from across the country were听revealed as part of the list, announced on Thursday.
