The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield, Junior League of Springfield and the United Way of Central 缅北禁地 honored more than 40 Sangamon County volunteers and businesses during the 14th annual Good as Gold Ceremony on April 25, 2022 in the UIS Student Union.The Good as Gold Ceremony was started in 2008 to honor people, businesses and organizations who freely give their time and talents to make Sangamon County a better place to live.

Dear Students and Colleagues:

Today, the UIS administration and faculty union bargaining teams had our 11th bargaining session of the calendar year鈥攐ur eighth session with the independent federal mediator.

The university has responded on all outstanding items and is awaiting responses from the union, including a response on the compensation component of the proposal sent April 21.

WHAT: Sangamon Experience at the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield will premiere the original documentary, 鈥淪angamo Country: 200 Years of Sangamon County.鈥� The film features local researchers and citizens discussing the history of the county and sharing stories that have often been long forgotten.

The documentary is a production of Sangamon Experience and the Sangamon County Bicentennial Commission, cooperating with the Sangamon County Historical Society.
