The UIS women's track & field team will travel to the Gately Track Center in Chicago, Ill., for the Lewis Invite on Friday, Feb. 7, starting at 4:00 p.m.

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield men's tennis team has been selected fifth in the preseason poll for the GLVC East Division, earning 9 total points. By total votes, UIS ranks ahead of Missouri-St. Louis (East, 8 points), Quincy (West, 7 points), and William Jewell (West, 4 points).

The UIS men's track team will compete at the Lewis Invite, set to begin at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, at the Gately Track Center in Chicago, Ill.

The Ãå±±½ûµØ Springfield women's basketball team built a commanding first-half lead, but McKendree stormed back in the second half to take a 77-70 victory on Thursday night at TRAC. The Bearcats improved to 12-8, 8-6 in the GLVC while UIS slipped to 5-17, 4-10.

The UIS softball team is set to compete in the Alvy Early Memorial Classic this weekend in Bentonville, Ark. The Prairie Stars will open play on Friday against Central Missouri at 11:00 a.m., followed by a matchup with Northwest Missouri State at 1:30 p.m. On Saturday, UIS will take on Washburn at 11:00 a.m. before wrapping up the tournament against Missouri Southern at 1:30 p.m.
