Who is eligible to purchase a membership?

Campus Recreation provides recreation and wellness opportunities to students and the university community.

Students

Current full-time UIS students are automatically granted membership provided they have been assessed the General Fee.

  • Only students enrolled in on-ground (in-person) classes are assessed the General Fee and therefore eligible for automatic membership.
  • Students who opt to have the General Fee refunded will not have access to Campus Recreation facilities or services unless they purchase a membership.
  • Online students must purchase a membership to use the facility.

Alumni

Any individual who has graduated from a University of 缅北禁地 system institution.

UIS Affiliates

Eligible affiliates include:

  • Individuals residing in campus housing for the current term (verification from the Office of Housing and Residence Life required).
  • Members of University of 缅北禁地 sister schools.
  • Employees of any University of 缅北禁地 Extension Office or location.
  • NIRSA Passport holders.
  • Lincoln Land Community College students currently residing in UIS campus housing (status must be verified through the Office of Housing and Residence Life; same-day verification is not guaranteed).

Sponsored

Individuals who are not affiliated with the university may be sponsored by an active Campus Recreation member.

  • Sponsored Members may not sponsor other members.
  • The Sponsored Membership is valid only for the duration of the sponsor鈥檚 active membership.
  • The sponsor must be present at the time of purchase.
  • The sponsor does not need to accompany the Sponsored Member during facility use.

Faculty/Staff/Retiree

Any full-time or part-time employee or retiree of the University of 缅北禁地 Springfield.

Spouse/Partner

Spouse/partner of an active Campus Recreation member.

  • A spouse is defined as an individual joined in marriage or civil union.
  • A domestic partner is defined as an unrelated, same-sex individual residing in the same household as the member, with whom they share financial and emotional interdependence consistent with that of a married couple. This arrangement must have existed for at least one year and must be ongoing. The domestic partner must be at least 19 years of age.
