The University of 缅北禁地 Springfield has named Drew Schlosser assistant vice chancellor for human resources, effective Jan. 16.
Schlosser brings over a decade of experience in higher education human resources, specializing in labor and employee relations. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Employee Relations & HR for the University of 缅北禁地 Urbana-Champaign Facilities and Services Office, where he oversees human resources operations for more than 1,400 employees.
Prior to his current role, Schlosser held human resources leadership positions at the University of 缅北禁地 Urbana-Champaign鈥檚 College of Veterinary Medicine and 缅北禁地 Fire Service Institute, where he directed recruitment, payroll, performance management and labor relations initiatives for large, multi-department operations.

Schlosser holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in general studies from Eastern 缅北禁地 University, a master鈥檚 degree in human services from UIS and is pursuing a juris doctor degree at Saint Francis School of Law. He also holds professional certifications in leadership and human resources, including the Society for Human Resource Management's People Manager Qualification (SHRM-PMQ).
In his new role, Schlosser will oversee human resources operations at UIS, including strategic planning, recruitment, professional development and employee relations.
